The Assistant Specialist in the Career Services and Alumni
Affairs Departments plays a crucial role in supporting students, alumni, and
staff with various career development initiatives, job placement services, and
alumni engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the planning and execution of career fairs,
workshops, and networking events.
2. Assist in providing career counseling and guidance to
students and alumni.
3. Collaborate with employers to facilitate on-campus
recruitment sessions.
4. Maintain alumni databases and facilitate alumni
networking opportunities.
5. Coordinate alumni outreach programs and events to foster
engagement.
6. Assist in developing and updating career resources,
including job listings and internship opportunities.
7. Conduct surveys and data analysis to assess the impact of
career services and alumni programs.
8. Provide administrative support, including scheduling
appointments and managing correspondence.
9. Assist in developing and updating departmental media
content.
10. Collaborate with other departments to promote career
services and alumni affairs initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience in career services, alumni relations, or
related fields a plus.
- Bilingual: Fluent in Arabic (spoken & written) as well
as English (spoken & written)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
- Knowledge of career development principles and best
practices.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and online
networking tools.
- Experience with event planning and coordination.
- Familiarity with student and alumni career development
trends.
- Knowledge of career assessment tools and resources.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work
environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
